Dhingra lost to Thanh Long despite having good lead

Leads does not win matches, its only determination and hard work pays off. The same was clearly evident in the match between Jaiveer Dhingra and Thanh Long Nguyen, where Thanh, despite having trail of more than 100 points won the match. More important he did not produced any big break either in the beginning or even to recover from trail.

Geet, Causier and Peter exhibited fine touch of Billiards in Long-Up format

Geet Sethi, David Causier and Peter Gilchirst played finest billiards on the opening day of Long-Up Format World Championship.

Geet Sethi from India started well and won convincingly scoring 400 points against 203 of his compatriot Devendra Joshi. Two breaks of 142 and an unfinished 192 were enough for Geet to edge out Joshi who managed to score only a break of 82 points in the beginning.

David Causier and Alok Kumar reached in to Final

Today in the first semi final David Causier from England had no hurdle in thrashing out his compatriot Rob Hall 5 games to 1.

The only moment Causier struggle was in second game where he lost despite having  scored 70 points in the start of the game. A timely unfinished break of 86 leveled the proceeding. Causier however never looked back from that point as he went on a rampage with his characteristic fast play to  finish off the match winning the remaining 4 games on the trot.
