Dear Regional Referees Organisations,
On Behalf of the IBSF Referees Committee and the Egyptian Federation of Billiards Sport (EFBS), I am delighted to inform you that the 2017 IBSF Teams & 6 Reds Snooker Championships will take place from the 1st to the 10th of August 2017 at the Pyramisa Sahl Hashish resort in Hurghada, Egypt. The invitation letter has already been circulated to National Associations by the IBSF General Secretary.
A total of 20 international referees from outside Egypt and Africa will be selected for this event and the number of referees allocated for each IBSF Region is as follows:
The Referees meeting will take place at the Pyramisa Sahl Hashish resort at 18:00 (6 pm) on the 1st of August 2017. Matches will start on the 2nd of August and the Final and closing ceremony will be on the 10th of August 2017.
All referees must be nominated by their Regional Referee’s Organisation on or before the 7th of July 2017. Please send the nominations to my email:

The Egyptian Federation of Billiards Sports has once again decided to host IBSF World 6Red and Team Snooker Championship in Egypt. This year the championship will take place in the Egyptian city ‘Hurghada’ from 2nd till 10th of August 2017 for the categories Men, Women & Masters for Team Snooker; and Men and Women for 6Reds.
The Chinese Billiards and Snooker Association (CBSA) will be hosting the 2017 IBSF World Under-18 and Under-21 (Men & Women) Snooker Championships at Beijing from 7th till 16th July 2017 (The Under-18 event from 8th till 11th July and Under-21 event from 12th till 16th July).
The President of International Billiards & Snooker Federation, Mr. Mubarak Al-Khayarin, has written to all member countries regarding Open Snooker and Billiards Tournaments.

The golden boy from India Pankaj Advani has once again proved his supremacy in the three balls game ‘billiards’ by winning the 2016 World Billiards Point format championship here at Bengaluru, India. To win the title, he defeated another great name in the world of billiards, Peter Gilchrist of Singapore, who had won the world title in Long Up version four days back.
The defending champion Peter Gilchrist of Singapore and the versatile multiple time world champion Pankaj Advani are ready for the clash of titans in the 2016 World Billiards championship 150-Up finale. The match will be played shortly for the Best of 11 games.
Pankaj Advani from India, who missed out the medal in Long-Up format, gets back on his rhythm and confirmed his place in the medals round of 2016 IBSF World Billiards Point format. In the quarter-final he knocked out the reigning Asian champion Dhruv Sitwala by 5 games to 2.
