The last league matches of World Under-21 Snooker Championship 2019 saw exciting contest and some great snooker matches. The most exciting match was on table-1 between Ma Hailong of China vs. Marc Fridman of Australia. After more than three hours and tough contest, the Australian boy Marc stayed winner.
Ma Hailong was quick to start with a break of 52 and advanced one frame. Marc, however, equalize that by winning next but Hailong maintained his lead with score 2-1. Hailong could have settled the score but lost the fourth frame very close and entered in the deciding frame.
The decider was one of the most exciting frame. It was stretched till the black ball and that could’ve been anybody’s match. They both spent quality time from last blue onwards and had multiple chances to pot the required colours for knockout qualification. They both were under tremendous pressure and missed multiple chances to close the proceeding. Finally, Marc got a clear chance to pot pink and then black after few visits to win 3-2 and qualify for knockout stage.
In another match, Julien Leclercq of Belgium defeated Syrian boy Yazan Alhadad and qualified for the knockouts. They both required to win this match for qualification and Julien made it through by winning the match 3-1.
However, he went through some tough moments also including frame 2 where despite of his 62 points break, he lost when Yazan made counter break of 72. That was the alarming situation for Julien and in next two frames, he fielded properly and scored 70-42; 66-11 to outclass Yazan.
