Soheil Vahedi came through tough challenges at the IBSF World Snooker 2016 to confirm his berth in Quarter finals.
Former World Junior No.2 obtained 3-0 lead with a crackling break of 138 points against World Under-21 bronze medallist Lukas Kleckers from Germany. It was not that smooth sailing for him as Kleckers hit back with next three frames with top breaks of 73 and 59 to come at par.
They both won the alternate frames and landed up in the decider, which was again equally tough but on the same time inclining towards Soheil as he had obtained a small but effective lead of 35 points, which he raised till 55-05.
Though Lukas gave his best and tried to curtail Soheil, his efforts went in vain when Soheil got some chances and he handled the situation well.
