The defending champion Pankaj Advani was in good form and won his second consecutive match of group stage at World Snooker championship. Today he took on Maris Volajs of Latvia and crafted three breaks of 55, 63 and 74 points to win 4-nil.
The Latvian guy scored some points in fourth frame but that was too late as Advani had controlled the entire match by that time and closed the proceedings of the match.
His compatriot Manan Chandra also started his match by compiling a break of 64 points. Later he went ahead to win next two frames and gained 3-0 lead over Sigurdur Kristjansson of Iceland. However Sigurdur pulled up one frame but that was not enough to stop Manan as he also won the next frame and match as well.
