Ajeya Prabhakar of USA stayed effective in his first match and defeated Israeli player Shachar Ruberg 4-2.
First frame was very close that Ajeya won with only 4 points difference but he struggled in second to stay 1-1. In third frame Ajeya shown his class and precisely compiled break of 68 points to lead again. Though Shachar countered him again and level the match at 2-2.
From there onwards, Ajeya curtailed Sachar and taken over all control to win 5th frame followed by match winning break of 53 points to close the proceedings 4-2.
The last match of the day was won by Au Chi Wai of Hong Kong. He defeated Matthew Roberts of Wales in the deciding frame to secure 4-3 win.
Although Matthew gave a good start with 76 points break and secured second frame too on black ball, but after that Au Chi Wai sent recovery with 65 points break in third frame and won fourth frame too to come at par 2-2.
Alternate frame win maintained the status-quo but in decider Au Chi Wai dominated and scored 67 against 9 to close the proceedings 4-3.
