Gilchrist, Advani, Kothari and Alok are top 4 seed for timed knockout

Peter Gilchrist from Singapore secured the top-seed slot for knockouts of 2015 IBSF World Billiards (Timed) Championship having an average of 897.00 after four matches he played in league stage.

He is followed by three Indian players i.e. Pankaj Advani (Avg.803.33), Sourav Kothari (634.50) and Alok Kumar (625.67)

The knockout matches have now started and four outside to reach pre-quarters have started between:

Nam Pham (Vietnam) vs. David Collins (Australia)
Nalin Patel (England) vs. David Bates (Australia)
Kein Nguyen (Vietnam) vs. Jaiveer Dhingra (India)
Aditya Agrawal (India) vs. S. Shrikrishna (India)

The winners will join Last-16 stage which will be played tonight at 2000 Hours Adelaide Time.

Gilchrist to meet Alok Kumar in quarter finals

Former World Champion Peter Gilchrist from Singapore has now reached the last 8 of IBSF World Billiards (150-Up) Championships 2015 being played here at Oceania Snooker Academy in Adelaide, South Australia. In the last-16 match, he defeated India's Brijesh Damani 4-1.

Peter started up well with two breaks of 71 and 51 in first game but Damani countered him in second game by crafting unfinished break of 151. For Damani that remained the only game win because after that Gilchrist fully taken over and crafted magnificent breaks of 102, 132, 55 and 57 to win next three games and match also.

He will now meet former world No.2 Alok Kumar of India who defeated his compatriot Jaiveer Dhingra 4-1 in last-16. Though Alok lost the first game where Jaiveer scored a break of 111. In fact Jaiveer tried his best after that also but Alok controlled the entire match his way. He scored breaks of 58, 58,  150 unfinished and 100 to close the match proceedings 4-1.
