The Belgian Billiards & Snooker Association (BBSA) will host the 2016 IBSF World Under-18 and Under-21 (Men & Women) Snooker Championships at MOL, Belgium from 16th till 25th August 2016 (The Under-18 even from 16th till 20th August and Under-21 event from 20th till 25th August).
The IBSF World 6Reds and Team Snooker Championships are once again returning to the beautiful Egyptian city ‘Sharm-El-Sheikh’. The Egyptian Federation of Billiards Sports has planned to host these championships at Pyramisa Sharm El-Sheikh resort from 20th till 30th July 2016.
After a wait of 12 years, Pankaj Advani from India succeeds to win again the IBSF World Snooker Title for the year 2015 here at Hurghada (Egypt). Though during this period he continued with his supremacy in Billiards and 6Reds having 14 world titles in his belt, but for snooker he waited that long.
Belgie snooker player Wendy Jans proved her supremacy in the world of women snooker by winning 5th world title and 4th in a row.
Phisir Chandsri of Thailand successfully defends his World Snooker Masters title defeating Jason Peplow 6-2 in the final today. This is his third world title in a row from his début in snooker at Daugavpils (2013) followed by Bangalore (2014) and now here in Hurghada today.
After one-sided affair in semis against Ben Jones of Wales, the Chinese sensation Zhao Xintong set to play final of 2015 IBSF World Men Snooker Championship tomorrow at Hurghada, Egypt. This is his second appearance in final after 2013, Daugavpils, Latvia.
It was third consecutive victory for Jason Peplow of Malta that he won after playing the decider frame and now he reached the medals round of 2015 IBSF World Masters Snooker Championship here at Hurghada.
Waratthanun Sukritthanes of Thailand at one stage was down 2-3 in quarter-final against former World Champion, Ng On Yee of Hong Kong and it was looking that she will settle down as quarter finalist only but she was more determined and recovered well by posting break of 30 points in 6th frame to set decider. Further she also won that to confirm medal for her country. Next she will be playing the reigning world champion Wendy Jans in the final.
