IBSF introduces World Championship for Under-18 category

On the popular demand of young stars of snooker, IBSF has decided to introduce the IBSF World Under-18 Snooker Championship from this year. The first ever championship will take place in the beautiful city of Russia, Saint Petersburg from 3rd October till 11th October 2015.

Tournament Info: 2015 IBSF World Under-21 (Men & Women) Championships

The Federatia Romaña de Snooker is hosting 2015 IBSF World Under-21 (Men & Women) Snooker Championships at Bucharest, Romania scheduled from 17th till 26th July 2015.

Entry for these Championships has started and Member Countries can now enter their player's names and details on IBSF Entry System using the password. Closing date for entries is 15th June 2015.

If any country does not have an active password or having problem to enter their players, please contact the IBSF General Secretary, Mr. Mohammed Kammah, as soon as possible.

Each country is allowed to send:
- 4 players per tournament and players should be less than 21 years old by the 31st December 2014

Referees & players meeting will be on 17th July followed by Opening Ceremony and matches will start on the on 18th July 2015.

IBSF Women’s Ranking Tournaments

Dear All,

This is to advise you that the IBSF has decided to provide 4/5 Ranking tournaments for the female players around the World. To this end a Women’s Committee has been formed and they are at this time discussing the entire project from the entry system onwards to the benefits to the players not just at the events but ultimately for the seeding at the IBSF World Championships.

IBSF visit to Dubai

Recently Capt PVK Mohan President, Mohammed Kammah General Secretary and Michael Akhoury Treasurer visited Dubai to change the signatories at the IBSF bank following the recent elections, and for Capt Mohan to obtain his necessary UAE residency.
 
Whilst there, Sultan Al Joker arranged a meeting with the Minister of Culture and Youth and Community Development, Chairman of General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare “H.H. Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan”
 
At this meeting Capt Mohan, on behalf of the IBSF, presented a memorial shield to the Sheikh who promised his full support for the IBSF.
