Egyptian player, Mina Awad has entered in the quarter final stage of IBSF World Under-16 (Boys) Snooker Championship.
Seed 9 for knockout Mina Awad defeated 8th seed Muhammad Hamza Ilyas of Pakistan 3-1 to confirm his berth for the quarter finals.
After losing first frame, Mina compiled good scoring to come at par but after that the fight was tough and next two frames he won by a very close margin to secure 3-1 win.
Mina will next meet Hungary player Bulcsú Révész who defeated Australian boy Xavier Daw 3-0 to step in quarters.
In other results, Indian player Ranveer Duggal has also reached in quarter finals by defeating Irish player Jack Newman in straight set of frames 3-0
However, his compatriot Priyansh Jain failed to secure deciding frame against Russian player Andrei Karasov and lost 2-3.
Out of three Irish players who entered Last-16, Leone Crowley only managed to enter quarter finals by defeating player from England Michael Robert Joyce 3-0.
