Bulcsú Révész confirms top-seed slot for World U16 knockouts

After three days of league round of the World Under-16 Snooker championship, player from Hungary Bulcsú Révész has confirmed top-seed position for knockout stage. The championship is ongoing in Tyumen, Russia hosted by Federation of Billiards Sports of Russia.


Bulcsú Révész was placed in group C where he defeated other four players Ryan McGuirk of Ireland, Grigorii Pakhomov & Artem Zhogin and Nurdaulet Maiten of Kazakhstan by identical score 3-nil.

From other groups, Polish player Antoni Kowalski and Indian players Ranveer Duggal and Priyansh Jain also eyeing for the second seed as they each have topped their respective groups at the cost of 1 frame each. The seeding will go through random computer draw.

Antony won all his five matches. The only frame he lost was was against Mina Awad of Egypt, who stayed No.2 in Group A.

Meanwhile Indian boys, Ranveer Duggal and Priyansh Jain also performed well and topped their respective groups only by losing 1 frame.

In the group of five players, Ranveer Duggal lost 3rd frame closely against Australian boy Denzel Nicholson before topping the group


Similarly his compatriot in Group G, Priyansh Jain also topped the group at the cost of 1 frame against Dmitrii Kulakov of Russia.
