Ireland wins over Wales to book QF spot

Team Ireland (Brendan O’Donoghue and Aaron Hill) won comfortably against the Welsh pair Ben Fortey and Anthony Krysa and confirmed their entry into the Last-8 of the IBSF World Team Cup Snooker 2019.


Ben got the initial breakthrough in the first frame but later Aaron was quick to compile break of 57 points and won the frame 74-16. His partner Brendan O’Donoghue equally complimented and won the next frame against Anthony Krysa 74-36.

Welsh pair tried to recover in doubles frame but here too they struggled and Irish boys close the proceeding with score 64-39 and match score 3-0.

Irish team will now meet third seed team Hong Kong (Chau Hon Man and Lee Tsz Ho) and the winner will be in medals round.
