As per previous announcement, 24 players were selected to participate in the newly introduced Asian Tour 10Red Snooker 2018 having its first leg in Doha from 26th till 29th September 2018.
All these players were divided into 8 groups for round-robin matches and today after 1st session the top-2 from each group qualified for the single elimination round of Last-16.
Brendan O’ Donoghue emerged as the best player after completion of group stage with no frame loss and booked top-seed slot for him. In groups he defeated both his opponents Mohamed Ibrahim of Egypt and Ali Alobaidli of Qatar 4-0 each.
The other 3 players for top-4 seeds are Thanawat Thirapongpaeboon of Thailand as 2nd seed, Amir Sarkhosh of Iran as 3rd seed and India’s Pankaj Advani as 4th Seed.
Last-16 knockout stage is starting today at 3 PM local time and can be seen LIVE ON IBSF website.
