India-2 crosses Chines hurdle to meet Ireland-1 in Quarter Finals

A high-quality Last-16 stage knockout match between India-2 (Pankaj Advani / Manan Chandra) and China (Zhang Jiankang / Fan Zhengyi) ended 3-2 in favour of India-2 here in the World Snooker Team Cup 2018. The entire match saw breaks and counter breaks, safety and recoveries and ofcourse the great potting skills.

In first frame, Manan Chandra’s started with a break of 52, which was brilliantly countered by Chines boy Zhang Jiankang by accumulating 46 points break to come back into the game and win it.

In second frame, Pankaj Advani scored 66 points break to level the match. After that they both maintained the same momentum in doubles too to take 2-1 lead. Though in next frame, Fan responded with a break of 51 against Manan to force Indians into the deciding frame.

The last frame was between Pankaj Advani and Fan Zhengyi where Fan miscued on first black leaving chance for Pankaj, which he used well to score two worthy breaks of 23 and 47 to take 69 points lead. Advani had completely tightened the string. After that having aid of few safeties, he ended the frame 91-01 to secure match win.

Their quarter-final match will be against Ireland-1 (Michael Judge / Brendan O’Donoghue) who ousted South African pair Peter Francisco and Mohammad Faaris Kahn 3-0.
