Where legendary player Mike Russell confirmed his berth ousting Peter Gilchrist in one semi-final, another legend of cue-sports Pankaj Advani knocked out three time world champion Rupesh Shah 5-2 to go for the title.

The semi final between Advani and Rupesh appeared to be a toddling match initially as both complimented each other with quality breaks till 2-all, but when Rupesh gave him a chance after scoring 90 points break in fifth game it became a lopsided as Advani shown his class with heavy scoring in rest of the three games to close the proceedings 5-2.

His clearance off 151 points break in 6th game was outstanding followed by 57 and 91 points break in the last game.
