Thai girl Siripaporn Nuanthakhamjan knocked out Anastasia Nechaeva of Russia in the deciding frame of best of seven frames semi-final to set stage with Ng On Yee of Hong Kong who reached into the final defeating her compatriot Ka Kai Wan 4-2.
Siripaporn was found struggling in the last few competitions but here in Hurghada she revisited with her same striking game of Snooker. She cleared her most of the matches one-sided but faced a stiff competition in the semis from Anastasia and had to sweat hard before stepping in the final.
Anastasia was also in great form and made two breaks of 39 and 32, whereas Siripaporn sent contribution of 43 points break in the match.
After landing in the deciding frame, Siripaporn pore in her experience and held her nerve better to curtail Anastasia to 16 points only and closed the proceedings with her score of 39.
In second semi-final, Ng On Yee missed out the first frame by one point but then she didn’t give much chances to Ka Kai Wan and took 3-1 lead. Though the fifth frame went to Ka Kai Wan but that wasn’t a threat to Ng On Yee as she cleared the next frame quite comfortably 54-07 to meet Siripaporn in the final.
