Naseem played outstanding snooker. Narongdat outplayed Jianbo

Out of seven Chinese players qualified for the knockout single elimination stage of 2017 IBSF World Under-18 Snooker Championship, two of them lost the battle in Last-24 stage itself.

It was Mohammad Naseem of Pakistan, who marked first dent in Chinese camp and shocked Fuyi Deng by defeating him 3-nil. That was actually a shock for Fuyi because that last two frames are well controlled by him but Naseem played outstanding snooker converted both in his favour.

Naseem controlled first frame with a break of 58 points and took 1-0 lead but in next Naseem fall short towards the end and required one snooker on last pink and black to come back in the game. Naseem planted excellent snooker and after return into the game, he potted pink and black to raise his lead 2-0.

In third frame also, Fuyi’s efforts of having good break went in vain as 47 points down Naseem crafted break of 55 points to knockout Fuyi Deng.

In another match, Narongdat Takantong of Thailand survived despite having penalty of one frame for being late. Later he was down 1-2 but made 83 points break to come at level and then played much controlled game in decider to move ahead in Last-16 stage.
