2017 World Under-18 and Under-21 Snooker begins at Beijing

The 2017 IBSF World Under-18 and Under-21 Snooker Championships (Men and Women) set to start tomorrow morning at World Snooker Academy in Beijing, China.

The championships are being played from 8th till 16th July having Under-18 event at first till 11th July followed by Under-21 till 16th July.

Today at the opening ceremony, The IBSF Treasurer Mr. Michael Al-Khoury from Syria represented IBSF as an overseer. He was joined with The Director of the Multi-ball Games Administrative Centre of General Administtration of Sports of China, Mr. Liu Chunsheng, The Director of DongCheng District Sports Bureau of Beijing, Mr. Geng Xuesen, The Deputy Director of DongCheng District Sports Bureauf of Beijing, Mr. Chi Jindong; The Deputy Director of the Fourth Department of the Competition Centre of Beijing Sports Bureau, Mr. He Lei; The Ex-Secretary General of CBSA, The Advance Advviser of CBSA World Snooker Academy, Mr. Tang, Fengxiang; The President of Beijing Sports Training School, Mr. Zhang Bo; The Chairman of Beijing Rigour Culture & Media Co. Ltd., Mr. Liu Zheng; and The Assistant Manager of Foshan Nanhai Shender Sports Equipment Co. Ltd., Ms. Jessie Luo.

After that The Tournament Director, Mr. Joseph Lo from Hong Kong and Head Referee Mr. Jiang Zhenyuam from China joined Mr. Al-Khoury to apprise players and the referees about the schedule and rules within the championships are to be played.

There would be total 4 sessions per day starting from 10 AM in the morning having next sessions at an interval of 150 minutes each.
