Tournament Info: 2017 IBSF World U18 & U21 Championships

The Chinese Billiards and Snooker Association (CBSA) will be hosting the 2017 IBSF World Under-18 and Under-21 (Men & Women) Snooker Championships at Beijing from 7th till 16th July 2017 (The Under-18 event from 8th till 11th July and Under-21 event from 12th till 16th July).

Entry for these Championships have already been started and Member Countries can now enter their player's names and details on IBSF Entry System using their respective login credentials. Closing date for sending entries is 15th June 2017.

Every country can send up to 3 players in each competition and the players should be less than 18 or 21 years old by the 31st December 2016. All players must present their passport to the Tournament Office before the start of the matches.

Entry fee will be US$ 70.00 per player per championship and to be paid to the IBSF on first day of the championship. Under-18 players can also enter in the Under-21 championship if they wish to.

Please advise your players that the dress code will be strictly adhered to. All players must wear a Waist-coat whilst playing.

  • Evening dress or dark-suit together with waist-coat shall be worn in all sessions of the matches. Long-sleeve shirts buttoned at the wrist, waistcoats and bow-ties, shall be worn for all matches, save when the venue conditions are hot and humid, and, in which case, certain relaxation to dress-code requirements may be decided thereupon by the Championship Committee.
  • Players will be allowed to wear a sponsor’s logo on the waistcoat with a maximum size of 100mm x 40mm or 80mm in diameter. The Host NSA will inform players if their logos may be worn during any televised stages of the Championship and that players wear them belonging to the Host NSA’s sponsor(s) at no cost to the players.
  • The Host NSA will decide the appropriate dress-code for any official functions.
  • Failure to comply with the prescribed dress-code may result in the forfeiture of the match by the players in default.

Visas are required by many countries. Please check with the Chinese embassy in your country.

Players may be subjected to Drug testing in accordance with the WCBS Drugs in Sport Policy.
