Haria confirms his maiden medal in World Billiards

Ahmedabad based Indian youngster Dhvaj Haria confirms his first ever World Billiards medal when he stepped in the semi-finals of Long Up format in 2016 IBSF World Billiards Championship. In the quarters, he defeated Aung Htay of Myanmar scoring 1000 points against 677 of Htay.

It was not that easy for Haria as he was constantly receiving turbulence in the form of regular breaks from Htay. At one stage, Htay overtook by nearly 75 points but Haria geared up on time with a worthy breaks of 131 and then 121 followed by 157 and 87 to take huge lead over Htay.

Htay, however, tried compiling big break but his attempts ended after scoring 85, 73 and 49. At last he left with no other option rather bowing against Haria.
