Parikh shocks Gilchrist; Advani has smooth run

Siddharth Parikh shocks multiple time World Champion Peter Gilchrist in a closely fought battle 500-483 at 2016 IBSF World Billiards Championship in 500 Long-Up format.

Siddharth was the first to score century break in this competition as he compiled 147 to take initial lead. Though the lead didn’t stay longer as Peter chased brilliantly having two well-crafted close to century breaks.

Though Siddharth excelled better toward the end and managed to win by 17 points causing first upset of the day,

Meanwhile, India’s ace cueists and defending champion Pankaj Advani had an easy run against his compatriot S. Shankar Rao and defeated him by 390 points. Advani also crafted a break of 208 points to announce his return from Snooker to Billiards.
