Yuan dashed Jason crafting excellent breaks; Ali falters and Bashar survived

Getting all control with him, Yuan sum up the last frame too easily and registered 4-nil win over Devaney. With this he has also confirmed his entry in the knockout stage of Last-78.

Unlike Alobaidli, Bashar Abdulmajeed of Qatar held his nerve better and converted the deciding frame into his victory. His entire match swung like a pendulum where both, he and the Brazilian player Thadeu Nobres, kept winning the alternate frames. But in the end, Bashar delivered the best and won 80-07 to confirm match win.
