Page works hard to enter medals round

Welsh boy Jackson Page survived in quarter finals and confirmed his berth for medals round. Jackson saw India’s best bet S. Shrikrishna who gave a tough fight to page before making an end to this year’s Under-18 journey.
Initially both of them had tightened the strings and won alternate frame to reach 2-all, when Shrikrishna moved upwards and secured fifth frame with and awesome scoring of 106-30 to gain 3-2 lead.
On such an alarming situation, Page held his nerve and won the next frame on black ball to once again level the match 3-all.
In decider Page did not waste time and crafted a worthy break of 82 points to knockout Shrikrishna and confirmed his entry into the medals round.
In semis, he will meet Mihai Vladu of Romania who defeated another Welsh boy Tyler Rees 4-2 to confirm berth in semis.
