Akram Amini first Iranian women to qualify for IBSF 6Reds knockout

Akram Mohammadi Amini from Iran has become the first Iranian women to qualify for the knockout the IBSF World 6Reds Championships.

Earlier two more Iranian women, Tehere Islami and Mandana Farhadi qualified for knockouts but they both were in World Snooker Championships and now she is the first for 6Reds.

Here in 6Reds event, she was in group C with the giants like current World No.2 player Vidya Pillai of India and former world No.2 Anastasia Nechaeva of Russia. She had lost first two matches both of them and after that she put her whole focus on her match against Hong Kong player Yee Ki Ho, whom she defeated in straight set of frames 3-nil to secure berth for the knockout stage.

Her match against Yee was not that easy and she had to sweat in first and third frame that had a close win. Though the second frame was one-sided that she won 55-01.
