Shut faced decider in opening match

Yana Shut from Belarus, who has previously participated very well in various Women championships, went through the decider in her first match of IBSF World Under-18 Girls Championship here at Maza Park Snooker Centre in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Yana missed the first frame very close where Russian girl Svetlana Levina played well and snatched the frame in a close margin, but in next two frames, Yana controlled the game her way and won the match 2-1.
In boys category, Artyom Smolnikov from Russia gave tough fight to Indian challenge, Digvijay Kadian. After losing first frame, Digvijay pulled next two games well to lead 2-1.
However, Digvijay lost the fourth frame but in decider, he played good shots and turned the match his side by winning the frame 53-39.
Alex Pace from Australia got no turbulence and won 3-0 against Russian boy Konstantin Klesov. However, another Russian boy Ivan Kakovsky was in commanding form and defeated Latvian boy Kristaps Lēmanis 3-0. Ivan made a break of 54 points in first frame of his match.
