Kothari routs Haria to confirm medal

Two time bronze medalist in World Billiards, Sourav Kothari of India, today confirmed another medal for him by defeating another Indian player Dhvaj Haria 4-1 in the quarter finals of IBSF World Billiards Championship 2015.

Kothari, who had a shaky start today morning where Dhvaj had controlled the first game very well and gained initial lead. But after that Kothari dominated rest of the proceedings all his way. Starting up with two breaks of 88 and 57, he bettered himself in every next game and produced much better breaks. Moving step by step, he was not far from medals round.

Fifth frame could be a trouble for him where Haria scored 72 points but Kothari was more determined and scored a break of 115 to seal the match 4-1.

His semi fnal match will be against former World Champion, Peter Gilchrist of Singapore, who defeated Alok Kumar of India 4-2 in the quarter final match.
