Damani turns entire match his side

Despite having good scoring, Frank opened his account with two games win but next Damani recovered well and produced two breaks of 69 and 52 points and came at par with Frank 2-all.

In the decider, Damani produced a break of 64 points to take initial lead but Frank countered him well with 65 points on board. After that both struggled for every single point as it was obvious that both were more cautious and avoided silly mistakes but in that situation too, Damani maintained the lead over Frank.

When Damani was on 145, Frank missed the opportunity he got and played too thin to miss the cannon. That allowed Damani to wrap up the match and he opted to play pot-cannon to score balance 5 points and won the match 3-2.

Another Aussie player Grant Meadley won 3-0 but faced stiff challenge from India's Kaavya Bharath. Grant won the first game easily but next two had close finish and Grant really worked hard to get pass 3-nil.

When all this was on, Nalin Patel of England was on serious business against Vietnamese player Nguyen Binh. Nalin was aware of the potential and caliber of Binh, hence he decided to dominate since start and produced breaks of 152 in first, 124 in second, 78 and 73 in third game to seal the match 3-0. Infact his break of 78 points could also be a higher one but he missed the in-off on such a perfect position.
