Peter landed straight to win two matches on opening day of World Billiards

The versatile player from Singapore and former World Champion, Peter Gilchrist landed directly from Airport to venue to play his match on the opening day of 2015 IBSF World Billiards championship here at Oceania Snooker Academy in Adelaide, South Australia.

Gilchrist was scheduled to play his first match in morning session against Josh Burns of Australia and he beat Josh quite comfortably 3-0. In first two games he produced breaks of 60 and 62 points where as Josh managed to cross 100 points only in first game but after that he struggled in next two games and lost.

Gilchrist had another match in third session of the day and that too he won comfortably against Peter Politis of Australia 3-0. Gilchrist was in good form and was producing constant breaks (103, 82 and 86 points) to win all three games.

Despite these two defeats, Australia had good results too where Michael Pearson pulled a decider game against multiple time runner-up, Devendra Joshi of India and defeated him 3-2.

The match between Pearson and Joshi remained finest one, where both the players scored good breaks in each game they played but in the end Pearson managed to register good win over Joshi.
