Malaysia succeeded to lift the first ever world title in any form of IBSF world championships.
Today Malaysian boys, Moh Keen Hoo and Kok Leong Lim, lifted the World Team Championships trophy by defeating Pakistan's team comprises of Asjad Iqbal and Shahid Aftab in a thrilling final 5-4.
The start was not so good for Malaysia as their key player Moh Keen Hoo struggled in the first frame against Asjad Iqbal but Kok Leong Lim settled the score by winning next frame against Shahid but couldn't save the doubles frame and went down to trail 1-2.
In next two frames, Malaysian boys fought back and won to gain 3-2 lead. During this, Moh Keen Hoo also crafted a break of 69 points break in fourth frame. But team Pakistan was also not ready to give up and they replied with two more frames win to go ahead 4-3.
On that Kok crafted a break of 72 points to set decider. The decider was an exciting one where team Malaysia was leading by 30 points when team Pakistan recovered and come ahead by having a 43 points break but committed foul at that crucial juncture and gave chance to team Malaysia, which they fully used do the rest and create history.
