2013 World championship runner-up, Zhao Xintong of China made 145 and set as highest break of the tournament surpassing 137 previously set by Ratchayothin Yotharuck.

Today Zhao made this break in the opening frame of his quarter-final match against Boonyarit Keattikun of Thailand. Though his efforts went in vain as he couldn't stay long and lost the match against Boonyarit Keattikun of Thailand. On the other side, Boonyarit took charge after losing first two frames kept winning next frames to knockout former world no.2 Zhao.

Similarly, the reigning World 6Reds runner-up, Kacper Filipiak of Poland also crafted an excellent break of 138 but lost 5-6 against Josh Boileau of Ireland. The entire match was exciting where both the players exhibited excellent snooker.

Josh was leading 3-1 when Kacper pulled next two frames to come at par. After that both kept winning alternate frames but it was Josh who kept his nerves under control and won the decider to move in the semis.

Jamie Clarke of Wales was down 4 frames from where he recovered and knocked out Dylan Craig of Scotland.
