Brijesh Damani had a good win on his birthday

The birthday boy Brijesh Damani of India registered a good win on his important day. He defeated Sweden's Farhan Mirza 4-2.

In the opening frame Brijesh had some difficulties and missed couple of chances but in the next frame he replied with a break of 51 points and leveled 1-all. Though he again lost the third frame by a margin of 55 points but that was all for him as after that in all frames he kept Mirza on edge and won the match 4-2 convincingly.

So far Brijesh has won his all three matches he played. He gave away only 4 frames in these three matches.

Amir Sarkhosh of Iran equalizes the high break 127 set by his compatriot Ehsan Heydari Nezhad. Today Amir Sarkhosh made 127 in the last frame of his match against Robert Murphy of Ireland.

Sarkhosh was down two frames from where he recovered with a break of 55 points in third frame and finishes in style scoring 127.

Indian player Sourav Kothari was on winning track as he registered third win of the championship. Today he defeated Henrikas Strolis of Lithuania 4-1.

Sourav in no time enhanced his lead to 3-nil with a convincing break of 50 points in third frame. After that Strolis managed to clinch one frame but Sourav did not allow him to capitalize more and sealed the match 4-1 by winning fifth frame 66-45.
