Khairy shocked Asian Champion Thor

Khairy gave good hard time to Thor and dominated since first frame only that he won one-sided 85-24. Though Thor replied by winning the next frame but that remained only frame he won in the match as consecutive wins in remaining frames awarded match to Khairy 4-1. The fourth frame was interesting where Thor had another chance to make it 2-all but Khairy won on black ball.

Amir Sarkhosh of Iran who struggled against Nick Jennings to win 4-3 in first match and gave away a frame to Alan Whitfield yesterday, had a clear win today against Cader Mohamed of Mauritius. However, Cader gave a tough fight to Sarkhosh in second frame but failed to convert into frame win.

Shivam Arora of India was eyeing for a big break (probably maximum) but couldn't hold the cueball properly after potting 6 blacks. However he had no difficulty to win the match against Tetsuya Kuwata of Japan.

World 6Reds bronze medalist Mohsen Bukshaisha from Qatar also suffered a defeat against Jurian Heusdens of Belgium 2-4. Jurian was in commanding form and clinched fist two games gracefully having a break of 64 in second game. Bukshaisha, however, won the 3rd and 5th frame Jurian posted another break of 54 points to seal the frame and match.

Laxman Rawat of India missed a century break by 3 points. He scored 97 points break in third frame while playing against Antonis Poullos of Cyprus. However, Rawat won the match 4-2 against Antonis.
