Advani to meet Gilchrist in the final of 150Up World Billiards

Today his semi final match was against his compatriot Sourav Kothari and undoubtedly Kothari was much competitive where four games out of seven played had a close finish. For both, first four games had alternate win but after that Advani accelerated with two more games having two unfinished breaks of 151 and 148 and made it 4-2.

In seventh game Kothari was about to make it 3-4 with a break of 119, but he missed after scoring 143. Applaud to Advani that he made an unfinished break of 138 to seal the match despite having few big hurdles in completing this break.

Advani will now meet Peter Gilchrist who also won a high quality match against Englishman Robert Hall where each game had good breaks.

This match had seen many ups and down. In fact the finish also remained complex where Robert Hall had a good break of 120 but a chance to Gilchrist cost him the match. Gilchrist started off from four points on board and made a break of 144 points, but just in need of two points, he lost the position and played safe with red on top cushion and white behind the baulk. Hall, however, succeeded in having a forced red in-off but remained unlucky as red also went behind the baulk. He attempted off-the-cushion shot to disturb white but yellow went in pocket and awarded two points to Gilchrist and the match ofcourse.
