Jessica suffers first defeat of competition

Tournament favourite Jessica Woods from Australia today suffered first defeat in group stage when she lost to Amornrat Uamduang of Thailand 3-0. Amornrat commanded well in the beginning and exhibited excellent potting to gain 2-0 lead. Jessica managed to score some points in third frame but Amornrat proved herself more composed to seal third frame as well.
Meanwhile Varsha Sanjeev from India kept her hopes alive to qualify for knockout by defeating Armaghan Hassani of Iran 3-1. Now the only way Varsha can qualiy by defeating Amornrat Uamduang of Thailand and that too 3-0 in last group stage match.
In Men's category Luke Garland of England put in extra efforts to win the decider frame against Nathawud Hompirom of Thailand. At a stage, Luke was leading 3-1 but back to back two frame win put Nathawud at par with Luke. In decider Luke hold the nerves better to defeat Nathawud.
