In women's category, reigning world champion Windy Jans of Belgium is one match away from winning 2nd consecutive world title. Whereas Chunxia Shi of China is also ready to claim her maiden title.

In today's semi finals, Windy Jans had no big difficulty in defeating Indian challenge Chitra M. in almost a one-sided match. Wendy had a break of 59 points in second last frame.

In next semi final, former world champion Ng On Yee remained unlucky to lose in the decider frame. Chunxia Shi of China was in total command since start and had made a break of 42 points to gain 2-0 lead.  Ng On Yee won the next to narrow the deficit but once again Shi replied with another break of 66 points to maintain lead. In a do or die situation Ng On Yee returned 89 points break and won the next frame to set decider but lost the momentum in decider and Chinese girl Chunxia entered into finals.
