Chinese player Peng Junxu played all his group stage matches and secured the top-seed slot for the single elimination round of World Men Snooker Championship 2019 here in Antalya, Turkey being undefeated in all three matches.
To gain top-seed sloth he outclassed the other three players of his group Daniel O’Regan of Ireland, Basil Alshajjar of Philippines and Firat Kabukçu of Turkey by an identical score 4-0.
Although his all group stage matches completed on November 1st but most of the time he is found spending time in venue, watching matches and observing techniques of other players to acquire more and more knowledge about the game.
The other two players who were eyeing the top-seed were Kritsanut Lertsattayathorn of Thailand and Robin Hull of Finland but on same day they both lost two frames and now will get the 2nd and 3rd slot after random pick-up.
Where Kritsanut gave away two frames to Jefrey Roda of Philippines, Kamal Chawla snatched two frames from Robin Hull in their respective matches.
Today is the last day for group stage matches and knockout stages for men’s category will start tomorrow.
