Yulu Bai expanding her reach in Senior category

Junior Girls World champion, Yulu Bai of China, started making her impact in the senior category of Women circuit. Today in her first match of the World Champoinship 2019, she outclassed former Asian champion Amee Kamani of India in straight set of frames 2-0.


The start of the match was quite competitive. Although Amee was in better position to secure first frame but from a commanding position she missed the black and Bai Yulu sealed the frame by scoring 56 against 33.

In second frame Bai Yulu started with a quality break of 41 points and obtained 52 points lead when Amee attempted recovery and tightened the situation. They both spent quality time over safe shots when Yulu rolled the red in top pocket and taken over the control once again, which resulted in match win for her 2-0.

Meanwhile, multiple time champion Ng On Yee of Hong Kong crafted two breaks of 45 and 32 points and registered comfortable 2-0 win over Irem Öç Parlar of host nation Turkey. This was second consecutive win for Ng On Yee.

In her group, Jessica Woods also registered two wins in her first two match to stand equal with Ng On Yee so far. Jessica defeated Maryam Ebrahimi Basabi of Iran 2-0 and Susanna Booyens of South Africa identically 2-0.

Jessica holds the highest break (58 points) of the competition in Women category, which she made against Maryam yesterday. The second highest break is 53 crafted by Diana Stateczny of Germany against Kylie Bellinger of Australia today.
